Fund Raising

Our club was looking at fund raising for a local women's group who help women caught up in Domestic Violence. Will this be an issue in terms of the grant?

What a great idea Point Lookout CC. We will need to check the terms of the grant, and if there's no clarity there, get in touch with our state govt liaison for an answer.

Absolutely, Point Lookout CC, this is a truly brilliant idea! Fundraising for a local women's group who support women experiencing Domestic Violence is not just excellent community engagement, it's genuinely inspirational and perfectly aligns with the heart of the Croquet & High Tea initiative! What a fantastic way to make your event even more meaningful and impactful.
Please do absolutely start planning this wonderful fundraising element for your High Tea event right away! This is such a positive and community-minded initiative, and getting a head start on the planning will ensure you can make it a truly special and successful part of your day.
Regarding your very sensible question about the grant, and whether fundraising aligns with the terms – and while we are 95% confident this type of community-focused activity will be perfectly fine, it is always prudent to double-check to be 100% certain!
While checking- in the meantime, do not hesitate to move forward with planning this fantastic fundraising component! It’s such a strong and worthwhile addition to your High Tea, and we are very enthusiastic to support you in making it happen.
Even if there were to be any unforeseen technicalities with direct fundraising through the grant (which we highly doubt), there are certainly countless ways to highlight and support this women's group at your event and raise valuable awareness – and your club's commitment to this cause is something to be truly celebrated in any case.
We are here to fully support Point Lookout CC in making your Croquet & High Tea event a success; we will find your answer for you (and everyone else!)

Great news for all clubs. I have just been advised (by our State govt liaison officer) that it is perfectly fine for clubs to include a fundraising element in their function planning, with some stipulations, as follows:
"The club can run fundraising initiative during event, as long the departments funds are only used to benefit the participants as the funding in intended."
