What advertising is planned?
-
Here's what we've thought of so far:
- Submit article on our activity/event to Croquet Newsletter. (Submitted)
- When graphic is finalised, ask CAQ to add to website front page under “news”
- Ask clubs to reach out to other women’s community groups that their members might belong to, eg. bridge, mahjong, chess, choirs, other sports, CWA, local historical societies, U3A
- Flyers posted to community notice boards at shops, libraries, schools
- Check local councils “what’s on” web pages & submit information about the event
- Ask CAQ AWAG Group for copy that can be published in local community newspapers, magazines
- Croquet & mallet sport clubs’ facebook pages — share graphic
- Encourage club members to sign up a family member or friend to the event
- Local TV (more relevant to regional clubs than S-E Qld?)
- Involve your regular sponsors
- School P & Cs may be prepared to promote our event to the school community
- Local physios
- Local businesses may be prepared to display flyer in their shop windows
Any other thoughts?

is there an ETA on the graphics? 8 March is just 6 weeks away and I guess many clubs are still in holiday mode
so will need to get a flying start. Most radio, TV, and the remaining few newspapers like about 6 weeks notice for their community events sections and Council 'what's on' websites and community news pages often take a week or more to approve posts.
I'd like a customisable poster/flyer that we can put our Club address, time and date info into before printing/posting and a social media sized image to put with posts or to create a FB eventHas someone written advertising copy to send to media outlets?

Thanks for the giddy-up Kylie & Marilyn. Yes, it is full steam ahead on the planning for the graphics. We have a fabulous creative brief (thank you everyone who has been involved) and hope to have everything ready to roll by the 1st week in February
