What the problem was

CroquetClaude already keeps a daily record of its own work. Until now, that record was written mainly for the committee, in administrative language. It also carried noisy automated status checks alongside the real news.

That register doesn't suit a volunteer. Jargon sat right next to genuine club news. Telling the two apart took real effort.

What was built

The band shows seven days at a time. Up to fourteen are held underneath, though only the latest week is shown. A day with nothing to report gets no entry, not a blank row or filler.

A strict filter decides what gets published. An entry only survives if it names a real change. That change has to matter to a club, a member, or a person doing a job. Internal system talk is stripped out. Days that don't clear that bar are simply skipped.

Every entry is checked for AI writing tells before it goes live. A flagged one gets one retry. Then it's dropped, not published as it stands.

What it means for you

You can check in seconds what's changing, and why. Each entry is a dated line, one or two plain sentences long.

Here's a real one, from 11 August 2026. "Club Hub's middle pages now display correctly with all layout faults fixed, and clubs can now submit their own event times directly instead of waiting for manual approval, which should get your fixture data live within hours instead of days."

This is the current, day-by-day layer. Once a project finishes, it moves into a separate collection of longer, finished articles.

Where it stands

As of 12 August 2026, the feature is built, scheduled, and confirmed running. Every night at 1am it writes the week's entries, ready for the next site update.

It will start showing on Club Hub the next time the site deploys.
