croquetqld.org moves to a new registrar without breaking email or links
The domain moved off RevSport on 4 August 2026 — email, the website and every CAQ subdomain kept working through the switch.
croquetqld.org moved to a new domain provider on 4 August 2026, without any interruption to CAQ email or to news.croquetqld.org, clubhub.croquetqld.org, my.croquetqld.org or share.croquetqld.org. Two real problems turned up mid-move and were both fixed live, with the old provider's settings left untouched in case a rollback was ever needed.
What the problem was
croquetqld.org had been managed through RevSport, the same platform CAQ was moving away from. Everything the domain controls, the website, email, and every croquetqld.org subdomain, needed to move to a new provider without a single dropped email or broken link along the way, since a mistake here can silently bounce mail for days before anyone notices.
What was built
The move itself, done carefully rather than all at once:
- The domain's technical settings were switched over to the new provider, with the old provider's copy of those settings deliberately left in place and untouched, so there was a way back if anything had gone wrong.
- Every croquetqld.org address that visitors and search engines had been using, including some pointing at the old RevSport pages, was checked and updated so nothing led to a dead page after the move.
- All the checks that confirm an email is really from CAQ and not a scammer impersonating the domain were verified working, in both directions, after the cutover. This is the part that silently breaks email if it's not checked properly.
Two real snags came up during the move itself and were fixed on the spot rather than after the fact: a limit on how many address-lookup records could be changed at once, which needed the changes made in a different order to stay within it, and a security certificate issued slightly too early that needed reissuing once the new settings had properly taken hold.
What it means for you
Nothing changes for you day to day. croquetqld.org, your club's email, and every CAQ site under that domain kept working through the move. It matters mainly as groundwork: it clears the way for croquetqld.org to carry CAQ's own website rather than sitting on the old club-management platform.
Where it stands
Completed and verified on 4 August 2026. Email tested working in both directions, and every CAQ site under the domain confirmed loading correctly straight after the switch.
