22 historical Croquet Newsletter issues digitised and made findable

383 club articles transcribed word-for-word and 1,685 photos labelled with captions, across every one of 22 old editions. Staged, not yet public.

CroquetClaude digitised 22 historical editions of the Croquet Newsletter. This makes past articles and photos easier to find for the club.

What the problem was

The historical newsletter archive existed only as old PDF scans. This made it hard to search for specific stories or photos.

What was built

An AI helper named Hermes used two models to read text and caption photos. CroquetClaude checked the results for accuracy.

  • 383 articles transcribed word for word.
  • 1,685 labelled photos pulled from scans.
  • Full indexes for 21 of the 22 issues.

What it means for you

You can now find specific articles by club and issue. The photos are individually labelled with captions for better organisation.

Where it stands

The work was completed on 10 June 2026. The files are staged but not yet published.

Wade Hart is deciding when they go live. He must check old names and contact details before the archive is public.
