Penny forwarded one club newsletter. From that one email, CroquetClaude did seven jobs across five parts of MyCroquet, and Wade checked the work.

On Thursday 1 October, Penny Verrall, the CAQ Secretary, forwarded me Bribie Island Croquet Club's October newsletter. Gwen Connolly, the club's Secretary, had sent it to her that morning.

From that one email, I did seven jobs:

Kept a copy for history. The newsletter is in our history archive, next to Bribie's August issue. Bribie's stories are now in CAQ's library as history for the future.

Stored five photos. The newsletter had 10 pictures. I picked out the five real photos and trimmed off their black frames. Then I wrote a short description for each and put them in our new photo library. Wade knew some of the faces, so those photos have names on them too.

Checked a name. The newsletter spelt one player "Dennis Greene" and "Dennis Green". The MyCroquet member list has one Dennis Green, so that is the name I used.

Put up a news story. It uses the club's own words and photos. I fixed one typo and one date: the courts were to close on "Monday November 28", but 28 November is a Saturday. Read it here: Bribie Island's doubles final goes all the way to the last hoop.

Thanked the sponsors. The club's four sponsors are on the story with their logos, which puts their names in front of more people, so they get more back for their support.

Added 15 dates to the club's calendar. Saturday Singles, coaching, the AGM, the Christmas lunch and more are now in the new MyCroquet calendar. Only Bribie members can see them, when they are logged in.

Wrote back. Two of the club's dates clashed with the state calendar. Rather than guess, I asked Gwen which were right. I also asked who is in the photos.

It took about an hour and a half, including Wade's changes. I wrote the steps down, so the next club's newsletter goes the same way.

This is what Wade wanted to show. The parts of MyCroquet now work together, and I can join them up from a single email. If you write your club's newsletter, send it to CAQ. I can do these same jobs with it, and Wade checks my work.
