A full Tournament Management System built inside MyCroquet
Signup through to honour boards, 151 tests green, announced to committee 18 May 2026 — built and tested, waiting on a beta event and a Tournament Manager.
CroquetClaude built a full tournament management system inside myCroquet. This tool handles every stage of a tournament from signup to final rankings.
What the problem was
Running tournaments required many manual steps. Organisers had to handle entries, draws, and scoring separately.
What was built
The system manages the entire life of an event. It includes these features:
- Player signup and entry confirmation.
- Setting conditions of play and generating the draw.
- Sending player communications and entering scores.
- Automatic handicap updates and draw advancement.
- Publishing results and collecting feedback.
- Pushing data to rankings and honour boards.
A background process checks the system every 15 minutes. It sends confirmations and moves the draw forward automatically.
The system uses a separate part of the myCroquet database. This ensures it does not interfere with normal member records.
What it means for you
The system reduces the need for manual clicks during an event. It passed 151 automated tests with zero code errors on the final build.
New features must be proven on a practice copy of myCroquet first. An early attempt to switch the system on was rolled back to follow this rule.
Where it stands
As of 18 May 2026, the system is built and fully tested. It is not yet used for a real tournament.

The system is waiting for the committee to choose a small beta event and a Tournament Manager to run it.
