Bendigo Community Bank grants and raffles
Bendigo Community Bank branches run their own raffles and grants for local clubs. Here is what Wynnum got, and how to find out what your branch offers.
On 3 June 2026, the Wynnum Croquet Club attended a Bendigo Community Bank Impact Night. On that night, Bendigo gave out a $30,000 raffle, $20,000 in Tokens of Appreciation and a $100,000 Grants Program. Wynnum received funding from all three.
A CAQ news report says the money will help the club open its facility and resources to more of the community. The report also thanks Bendigo Bank Wynnum Manly for their ongoing support.
How the Bayside Community Fund raffle works
The Bayside Community Fund raffle is sponsored by the Community Bank Victoria Point and Wynnum Manly branches. It covers the area from Wynnum Manly through to Victoria Point and the Redlands.
Tickets cost $5, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the selling organisation. There are 13 prizes totalling $30,000.
The raffle was due to start in mid August 2026, with tickets on sale from Friday 14 August. The page gives no draw date, so check the Bayside Community Fund site to see where it stands. Not-for-profit organisations in the area can use the sign-up form on the page to hear about the next one.
Each branch decides for itself
These programs are not national rules. Each branch decides its own initiatives.
For example, the Mundaring branch page in Western Australia notes they have run five community raffles since 2018, donating over $125,000 in prize money.
Across Australia, there are over 300 Community Bank branches. In the 2024-25 financial year, more than $50.2 million in funding was distributed to local community projects and initiatives.
How to find out for your club
To check for funding, follow these steps:
- Find your local branch using the branch finder.
- Open the community grants page and select your branch under "View programs".
- Ask the branch directly if they run a community raffle and when their grants open.
Programs open at different times of the year, so check back regularly. The grants page lists every Community Bank branch, and you can filter it by state.
Bendigo Bank and their Community Bank network offer grants and educational scholarships to help local communities and students thrive.
Twin Rivers plays at Bedford Park in Eagleby, in the Logan area. Community Bank Beenleigh is one branch nearby, and the branch finder shows which is closest. No raffle for Beenleigh or Logan clubs turned up in a search, but your local branch may run one, so it is worth asking.
