What the council's documents say
- Public liability: The policy makes the tenure holder "solely responsible for acquiring public liability insurance". No amount is given.
- Building: The policy (2015) says: "All new tenure arrangements will specify the tenure holder as solely responsible for acquiring public liability insurance and adequate building, contents insurance and all other insurances as required." The fact sheet (no date shown) says: "Noosa Council will insure buildings and facilities on Council owned or controlled land where the building and facilities are occupied by eligible not-for-profit incorporated community organisations." It adds that the organisation "is responsible for paying the excess of $5,000 if and when the damage is deemed to be caused by the Community Organisation".
- Contents: The fact sheet says community organisations "are encouraged to budget for and/or seek" "Contents Insurance to cover items owned by the Community Organisation".
- Council named on the club's policy (an "interested party"): Not stated in the documents read.

Where a point above is marked not stated, the council documents listed below were checked on 29 October 2026 and say nothing on it. The club's own lease may.
