The Feedback button beats an email
Why the Feedback button on MyCroquet gets a register correction fixed the same day, and what makes a feedback message useful.
Jill Cole, president of Eildon Croquet Club, used the Feedback button on the Membership page to flag two membership list errors. Both were corrected and confirmed the same day.
The first error concerned Alan B. (ACA 101552), who was listed under Merthyr Croquet Club instead of Eildon Croquet Club.
The second report was for Christine A., who was showing as an active member when she should have been marked inactive. This could be done via the membership list (clicking deactivate) but doing it this was also works. You will find as you use the system more that it can cope with human interaction much better than 'old software' could.
The Feedback button is at the bottom right of any MyCroquet page. It is designed for quick corrections or reports of this kind.
This method is better than email because the feedback automatically includes with your message who you are, which screen you are using and the timestamp.
This makes it a lot easier to know what needs to be looked at and addressed. It takes away a lot of the guessing or assumptions.
If a club president emails "please fix Alan's club", the person receiving it must first work out who Alan is. They have to find which page is meant and verify who is asking. Only then can the work start.
The Feedback button removes that translation work.
The person fixing the error does not have to ask which page you mean or search for your identity.
Jill Cole's reports were useful because they were specific. She provided a name, a member number where available and a plain statement of the error.
It takes no special effort to use, just click and type, but it makes solving issues a lot easier.
This type of communication mechanism allows a correction to happen without follow-up questions.
Next time something on your club's MyCroquet page looks wrong, use the Feedback button. It is the most direct way to get the message through.
Click it, say what is wrong and what the fix should be, and it gets seen.
