myCroquet - one login across the CAQ websites
Sign in once on myCroquet and croquetqld.org, the news site and ClubHub all know who you are. What changes, what does not, and what the other sites can see about you.
Croquet Queensland runs four websites: myCroquet (my.croquetqld.org), croquetqld.org, the news site (news.croquetqld.org) and ClubHub (clubhub.croquetqld.org). Until now, each one was its own separate place. From 3 September 2026 the four share one sign-in. When you sign in on myCroquet, the other three sites can recognise you.
The way you sign in has not changed. The system emails you a one-time code. There are no passwords and there will not be any. A sign-in lasts about a month, so most members will sign in once and then forget about it.
If you are not signed in, nothing breaks. Buttons behave exactly as they did before. They will simply send you to myCroquet to sign in first.
The first thing it does
The Task Board on croquetqld.org is the first tool to use this. The board lists jobs that need a volunteer. In the past, the "Put my hand up" button sent you off to another site to sign in and fill in a form, which was enough friction to put most people off. Now one click registers your offer on the page you are already on. A small box opens underneath so you can add a note, such as when you are free.
Competition entry is the next thing planned to work this way. The idea is the same: the form already knows who you are and which club you play for, so there is nothing to type twice.
Privacy
Another CAQ site can learn only your name, your club and your role. It never learns your email address, your phone number or your postal address. Those details stay inside myCroquet and do not travel.
Websites outside the CAQ family get nothing at all, even when you are signed in. The sites allowed to ask are on a short named list, and CAQ adds them one at a time on purpose, rather than opening it to anything that happens to sit under the croquetqld.org name.
What clubs need to do
Nothing. There is no setting to turn on and no work for secretaries. Members who already use myCroquet get this automatically, and members who do not are no worse off than they were last week.
What you will notice is small and, we hope, a bit dull: less signing in, and fewer forms asking you for things Croquet Queensland already knows.
