How to add your club's event to the CAQ calendar
Your committee can put its own event on the CAQ calendar in MyCroquet, change it later, or take it off. A two-minute video and the steps.
Your club can put its own events on the CAQ calendar: competitions, gala days, come and try days, socials. You do it yourself in MyCroquet, and the event shows straight away. There is no need to email CAQ.
Who can do it
Anyone who holds a current committee position at your club in MyCroquet. That means president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, captain, registrar or committee member, as listed in your club's Club Profile.
If you run the events without a committee role, ask CAQ for calendar access.
The steps
- Sign in at my.croquetqld.org.
- On the home page, open the Events Calendar. Press Add your club's event.
- Type the Event name.
- Pick the Start date. Every event needs one. Add an end date or a start time if you have them.
- Check the Venue and Address. Your club's own name and address are already filled in, so change them only if the event is somewhere else. Not sure yet? Tick Venue still to be confirmed.
- If there is an entry fee, type it in Entry fee, in dollars. Got a flyer? Add it under Flyer. A photo or a PDF is fine.
- Press Add to the calendar.
You will see It's on the calendar. Your event is now on the MyCroquet calendar and on the CAQ website at croquetqld.org/events. An automatic check only looks for spam.
Just for your own members, like a working bee or an AGM? Tick Members only under "Who sees it?". Only your club sees those.
Changing or taking off an event
On the calendar page, press Your club's events.
- To change something, press Edit next to the event. Make the change, briefly note what changed and why, then press Save the changes. The change shows straight away.
- If the event is cancelled, press Take it off the calendar and give a one-line reason. Nothing is deleted. It just comes off the public calendar.
