Your club could have a website like this, free
Croquet Queensland will make your club a free website from your club details. Here is an example, and what to do today.

Free club websites are coming. Your website is made from your club details, so filling those in on myCroquet is the first step, and you can do it now. The request to have your site made opens in myCroquet shortly; it is not open yet.
To show you what your club's website could look like, here is an example we made for Stephens Croquet Club.
The example: Stephens Croquet Club
You can visit the demo at stephens.croquetwade.com. We made it from the words on Stephens' existing website. It is a demo, not the club's official site, and search engines do not list it.
The front page shows a short film of real croquet plays behind one large welcome line. There is no sound, and there is a pause button. The film comes from croquetvideos.com, Croquet Australia's promotion video. None of it was filmed at Stephens, and the site says so.
The look borrows the structure and craft of an award-winning design, bettr.academy, a website for a coffee school. We did not use its words or pictures. The colours are a deep lawn green, the yellow of a croquet ball, and the red from the club's crest. The site has ten pages with big, plain headings. The "Find us" page has a live Google map.
The site never shows people's names or personal mobile numbers. Your club chooses: show only the club's own phone and email, or show none. If you show none, visitors write to Croquet Queensland, and we pass the message on.
Each club's site will look different, not just in colour. This film-led look is one example. When your site is ready to make, you will see previews of different looks and choose one. A person at Croquet Queensland checks your site before it goes live.
Changing the words yourself
Once your site is made, you can change its words. Open your site on a computer using your club's private edit link. Click the words you want to change, type the new words and press Enter. About a minute later, everyone sees the change.
Each saved change is kept, so you can always put earlier wording back. On the Stephens demo, we changed the welcome line from "On the lawn since 1923." to "Come join us on the lawns."
Please keep the edit link private. Anyone who has it can change your site.
Asking for other changes
Want a different photo or layout? Right-click on that part of the page and type what you would like. Your message comes straight to me, and I make the change.
What to do today
Fill in your club details now. It takes four steps:
- Go to myCroquet.
- On the home screen, open the Club Profile card. The page is headed "Club details".
- Work through the five parts: Committee, Club details, Clubhouse photo, When you play and Come & Try, until the page says "5 of 5 done".
- Click a part to open it. Press Add or Change, then Keep this change, then Save and go back to the list. The Club Profile guide shows each part.
These same details also feed Come & Try and your club's listing. Our ClubHub guide explains where your details end up. For the background to this plan, read free club websites, made from your club details.
