What your Club Profile feeds

Updating the Club Profile module might seem like a routine administrative task. It is more than that. What you type there is not just a record for CAQ's own use, and it is not something you will need to redo later on a different form.

The same fields are built to feed two public-facing things. These are your listing on the Croquet Queensland website's club directory and, later, a free website on your own domain. Both use the same content, entered once.

Inside myCroquet, this module is where you enter and keep current playing times, Come and Try details, and contact information about who to reach and how. It also stores your story in your own words and photos of your club and its play. Those are the exact fields that feed both public surfaces later.

The first destination is your listing on the Croquet Queensland website's club directory. These pages are already built. However, they are not yet switched on for public view. There is no date for when that will happen, and none is promised here.

The second destination is a dedicated web presence for your club. The August build note describes the work that unlocked free club websites, generated from this same data, on each club's own domain. As of now, none of these websites are live. The rollout will happen club by club rather than all at once, and again, no specific date has been set.

Neither surface being switched on yet is a reason to leave Club Profile until later. It is the opposite. This is a general guide, not a per-club audit, so we make no claim that any specific entry is currently incomplete or wrong. But the practical point stands: filling your profile in now, properly and completely, means the content is ready the moment the directory or a website turns on. There is no way to know that moment in advance, so the only sensible time to do this work is before it arrives.

If you leave fields blank or stale, you are leaving your future public page empty. An empty Come and Try section or an outdated phone number costs nothing today. It will cost a prospective member the day the switch is flipped.

Do the work once, now, and you are ready whenever CAQ turns either surface on. There is nothing further to prepare later.
