@Lynda-Roberts that's a great idea Lynda. We hope to have the event poster ready for sharing by the end of the week

Thanks for this great summary Wade. I'm very pleased that so many of our clubs were able to take part, and can only reiterate how useful this Club Hub will be for coordinating the High Tea, and for future discussions & information sharing. Please keep asking questions!

Our artist is scribbling away right now, and we are as keen as you are to get the poster. Trust us- we will post it here immediately and let you know! Once we have the poster we can then have it available for printing. We will be supplying funds for printing (easiest and quickest for most clubs is likely to be officeworks) for them to decide how they would like the poster. The funds will be finalised once we have final club numbers, but the plan is to pay for a framed print of the poster, or equivalent other printing, if you club prefers.

Some people have had enough after 5 minutes, some will play all morning.

Yes, the idea was about getting the history out of books and archives and into the hands of story-tellers.

Thanks for the giddy-up Kylie & Marilyn. Yes, it is full steam ahead on the planning for the graphics. We have a fabulous creative brief (thank you everyone who has been involved) and hope to have everything ready to roll by the 1st week in February

@M-Eddiehausen of course, but the event and the marketing will be targeted towards women because the funding is from the Government's Active Women and Girls Grant

The Croquet and High Tea membership drive involves coordinating marketing and event promotion for potentially 42 clubs across the state. A single unified message, such as ‘Join us for Croquet & High Tea on International Women’s Day,’ simplifies communication, maximises impact, and ensures consistency. From a marketing perspective, consolidating efforts into one message allows us to allocate the $10,000 marketing budget effectively. Promoting one event on a single date is far more impactful than dividing resources across multiple dates, which would dilute the campaign’s effectiveness and visibility. When the event was first planned one club had a State Competition scheduled. By collaborating with the club and the CAQ event coordinator, the competition was rescheduled, enabling the club’s participation. This isn't a one off project, but the beginning of a much wider reformation process of CAQ's relationships within our croquet community. This relationship will be based on mutual positive doing everyone together looking to grow our sport and clubs. In the example above, the club came to use when the date was announced with enthusiasm to participate but a reason they couldn't- so we found a solution. So if your club can't participate get in contact with us here or penelope@croquetandhightea.com and we will have a positive discussion about the situation.

I think High Tea could be scones with strawberry jam and cream with a few different tea varieties. Maybe white bread and buttered cucumber rectangles with no crusts of course that we could make ourselves as required. I'm guessing all of that for 50 people might be about $250 if we have to pay full price for everything.
